Light-Duty Towing
For sedans, hatchbacks, and small SUVs — our most common call. We provide a quick response and use a wheel-lift or flatbed depending on the vehicle's condition.
When your vehicle breaks down on US-89 or anywhere around Circleville, waiting isn’t an option. American Towing has 15+ years of experience getting drivers off the shoulder and back on the road safely, covering Circleville, Kingston, Junction, Panguitch, and the surrounding Garfield County area.
We’re not a call center that dispatches whoever’s available. Our team knows these roads — the tight canyon turns, the stretches with no cell signal, the spots where a breakdown means a long wait if you call the wrong company. That local knowledge, backed by over 2,700 quick-response calls handled, is why drivers here call us first.
Towing isn’t one-size-fits-all, and treating it that way is how vehicles get damaged. Depending on what you’re driving and what happened, the right approach changes:
We assess this over the phone before we dispatch, so the truck that shows up is already equipped for your specific situation — not a generic tow truck figuring it out on-site.
Here's exactly what happens when you call — no guesswork, no surprises, just a clear route from your breakdown to the fix.
Tell us your location and what's wrong. If you're not sure, that's fine — just describe what you see or hear.
Not sure of your exact spot? We'll help you pin it down using the nearest mile marker, cross street, or landmark.
Based on your vehicle type, we send a flatbed, wheel-lift, or recovery truck — not whichever one happens to be free.
We give you an honest arrival estimate, not a lowball number just to get you off the phone.
Our driver checks the vehicle before hooking up, especially for accidents or off-road recoveries.
Your vehicle goes to your chosen destination — home, a repair shop, or our yard if needed.
From everyday passenger vehicles to trucks, motorcycles, accident recoveries, and long-distance transport, we dispatch the right equipment for your vehicle and situation.
For sedans, hatchbacks, and small SUVs — our most common call. We provide a quick response and use a wheel-lift or flatbed depending on the vehicle's condition.
For lowered vehicles, all-wheel-drive cars, motorcycles, and anything where dragging on the wheels could cause damage. Your vehicle rides fully off the ground.
For pickup trucks, vans, and larger vehicles that require more towing capacity than a standard light-duty tow truck can provide.
We use specialized wheel chocks and soft-tie straps — never a standard hook that could damage the motorcycle's forks, frame, or bodywork.
For vehicles that are off the road, in a ditch, or otherwise stuck after a collision. These situations may require winch-out recovery before the vehicle can be safely towed.
For drivers who need their vehicle transported beyond Garfield County — to a dealership, specialty repair shop, home, or another destination in a different city.
For vehicles stuck in mud, snow, soft ground, or a ditch. We carefully pull the vehicle back to a safe surface before towing it when additional transport is required.
While we are already on scene for a tow, we can also assist with roadside tire changes and vehicle lockouts, allowing one call to solve more than one problem.
Not sure which towing service you need? Tell us what happened and what vehicle you drive. We will dispatch the right truck and equipment.

We run a mixed fleet built for the range of calls we receive around Circleville — flatbeds for vehicles that cannot be towed on their wheels, and wheel-lift trucks for quicker, standard light-duty tows.
Every truck carries the equipment needed to protect your vehicle and keep the scene safe — soft-tie straps and wheel chocks for motorcycles and low-clearance vehicles, winching gear for stuck or off-road recoveries, and safety lighting so our crew and your vehicle remain visible on the roadside.
The right truck and equipment are selected according to your vehicle type, condition, location, and recovery requirements.
Based out of Circleville, we provide towing, roadside assistance, vehicle recovery, and transport services throughout the surrounding communities and the US-89 corridor.

Call 435-231-1116Towing pricing is not one flat number. Your final price depends on several practical factors related to the vehicle, distance, timing, and recovery requirements.
Pricing depends on how far your vehicle needs to travel from the pickup location to the repair shop, dealership, home, or other requested drop-off point.
A standard sedan tow usually costs less than a flatbed job for a lowered vehicle, all-wheel-drive car, motorcycle, van, pickup, or larger vehicle.
After-hours, holiday, emergency, or difficult roadside calls may carry a different rate than standard daytime towing requests.
A straightforward roadside tow generally costs less than a winch-out from a ditch, mud, snow, soft ground, or an off-road recovery situation.
Rather than quoting a number that may not match your actual situation, we provide a clear price over the phone once we know your location, vehicle type, destination, and required equipment. You will know the expected charge before we dispatch, with no surprise charges after your vehicle is already loaded.

Fully Covered
Utah Towing Service
American Towing operates fully licensed and insured in the state of Utah. That means both your vehicle and our drivers are covered throughout the tow — from pickup to drop-off.
Your vehicle remains protected throughout the service. From safe loading and secure transport to the final drop-off, our team follows professional towing and roadside safety procedures.
Towing is not only about having a truck available. It is about local road knowledge, sending the right equipment, communicating clearly, and giving you the information you need before the tow begins.
More than 15 years of experience and 2,700+ calls answered. That track record is why repeat customers and referrals make up a large share of our service calls.
We know Garfield County roads — including the routes GPS gets wrong and the locations where cell service is limited or unavailable. That local knowledge means a faster, more accurate response.
We match the towing equipment to your vehicle before leaving the yard instead of sending whatever truck happens to be free and hoping it can handle the job.
You will know the expected towing cost before we dispatch — not after your vehicle has already been loaded onto the truck.

I had a very unexpected breakdown, but I'm in a better mood after the quick and friendly driver got us home faster than other companies have in the past. What do you do when your heading back to so cal and get stranded in the middle of nowhere on hwy 89 with a blown tire? Call American Towing Service (ATS)! Alan was a great help and made our bad situation, pleasant! We got lucky contacting Alan @ ATS, after AAA app failed and we kept getting disconnected with AAA, we called ATS and spoke with Alan who helped us. We explain our situation and Alain assisted with contacting AAA, He called ahead to the tire store service station and had a tire waiting for us prior to arriving. It seemed like we were in a Nascar race and ATS was the pit crew chef, once he got our car off the tow truck, the tire was changed and we were on our way. All this happened on a Sunday afternoon and best of all, All the charges were fair from all parties, we do not feel we were gouged! Thank you Alan & ATS Youyin BaiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Craig was a lifesaver when our car broke down in Utah. This man will turn your bad day around! Our electric car had some weird coolant issues and Alan was nothing but helpful. We were trying to trek back to CA but the universe had other plans. I could not be more grateful for his good vibes. This man makes lemonade out of lemons thank you Alan for all your help! Ps pro tip I AAA is trying to charge you $10/ mile don’t do it call this man instead!!!!!!!!! NolanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Alan is AMAZING. Such a sweet, helpful, human being. He really helped us in our time of need. Alexandra BonhamTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Alan came to our rescue on a dark road with little service after our car broke down 20 miles from Bryce Canyon. He was so speedy, responsive and kind. Will definitely be recommending to all locals and people in the area. Thank you Alan!! Dave AtkinsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If you need a tow, please do yourself a favor and call Alan. He went above and beyond for us not only to get us out of a horrible situation but make sure we were safe! He did not have to take his truck down a horrible 13 mile dirt road to save us but he did. Then, he didn’t have to call all his friends to find a replacement part for my truck when the destination we originally planned was closed but he did! He was so kind, put himself into harms way to literally save our lives as we were stranded on a mountain. Alan, I thank god today he sent us you! You are an amazing person and everything you did today will be remembered! Tyler HartTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Alan is an awesome guy (owner). This man drove to us for 5 hours. My buddy’s Toyota has a key fob to start and access the vehicle. Well we went on a 3 mile hike and the key fob fell off somewhere along the trail. Alan drove what should have been 3 hours but was a total of 5 because it was pitch black on Boulder Mountain. He is now taking us back to Panguitch and it’s now 9:30. If I could give 10 stars, I would! Thank you so much Alan, you saved our fishing trip. Paul CrispTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We were attempting to head to Denver from Bryce Canyon at 3:30AM when a deer decided we were leaving the area yet, and left us with a busted transmission fluid line making the SUV dead in the water. This was a rental from Enterprise so I called them and they arranged everything, then informed me that it would have to be towed 2.5 hours to St George (wrong direction from Denver so a 5 hour delay at the least). At first Enterprise said I needed to get an Uber to go to the airport to get my replacement, but then Uber informed me no one was serving that area. I then asked Enterprise if we could ride with the tow truck and they said that was up to the driver. All of that to lead up to our introduction to Alan from American Towing and he was amazing! If there is a such thing as an awesome experience while being towed, this was it. Alan got the Wagoneer L safely loaded (largest SUV possible) even with the transmission acting crazy, then he also gave us a ride to the airport when Enterprise (5 mins away) instead made us go to the airport (20 mins away) in order to pick up the replacement. Bottom line, I can’t imagine a tow truck experience that could end up as fun and stress free as this.Google rating score: 5.0 of 5, based on 15 reviews

Response time depends on your exact location and what else we've got dispatched at the moment. Circleville and nearby towns generally get the fastest response since that's our home base; more remote spots along the US-89 corridor may take a bit longer. We'll always give you an honest ETA when you call, not a guess.
Yes — we use flatbeds and proper strapping for motorcycles and AWD vehicles, since dragging either on wheels can cause drivetrain damage.
Your location (or nearest landmark/mile marker), your vehicle type, and a brief description of the issue — flat tire, won't start, accident, etc.
It can, since after-hours and holiday response involves different staffing. We'll always tell you the price before dispatching, so there's no guessing after the fact.
Yes — just let us know the destination when you call, and we'll confirm distance-based pricing upfront.
That requires winch-out recovery before towing. See our Winch-Out Service page, or just call — we'll bring the right equipment.
